Every family has a secret.
When a peculiar couple moves into the derelict house across the street, Marty White, the only kid resident of the Dullest Place in the Universe, is certain they have something to hide.
What he discovers is something not only out of this world, but in a different world entirely.
Marty's new neighbours, the Beatniks, have uncovered a connection to Over There--a world just like Marty's one, but backwards--in their bathroom mirror. Over There is filled with reflections malevolent doppelgangers his world was never meant to see.
No sooner does Marty discover this place when he finds himself standing in it. At first this seems like nothing more than his neighbours' cruel attempt at getting rid of him, but he soon realises there's much more to it than that.

The author is a clearly a great, skillful writer. Mystically, through some portal, Marty ends up in a world that's different from our world. The same people, the same houses, but reversed. It looked like it was for kids, but I believe adults can definitely enjoy the book as well.Product details

I was drawn to this book by its clever title. I've been duped before by books with great titles yet failed to live up to its promise. So imagine my surprise when I found Doppleginger a great read! It was fun, inventive and just the right shade of dark that children just love. I look forward to reading the next adventure of Marty White.
Gripping, intelligent and utterly un-put-downable, Doppelginger brings its readers on the most epic of adventures that will leave them aching for more.
For the cheap price of this book, you are pleasantly surprised by the quality of content inside, it's a great read that made commutes to work fly by. )
Fantastic book! Really well paced and just the right level of dark for both children (and adults) alike. Most interesting book I've come across in a while!
